Biza launches new tool to help non-bank lenders comply with CDR

On Monday, March 3rd 2025, the Treasury set an initial compliance deadline for non-bank lenders (NBLs) of July 2026. To coincide with the binding of NBLs into the Consumer Data Right (CDR) ecosystem, Biza is launching our new Product Manager (PM) for non-bank lenders.

For the CDR to function as intended, Data Holders in most industries are required to provide up-to-date product reference data such as fees, charges, interest rates, and customer criteria. Getting product reference data ready for the CDR and, most importantly, keeping it up-to-date, can be tricky, particularly as interest rates continue to fluctuate. Non-compliance, however, can lead to ineffective data sharing and fines.

We have ensured our Product Manager solution specifically caters to the complexity of multiple brands in the NBL context. One complexity of the NBL business model where the same product is marketed and sold by multiple brands, with different naming conventions and variations on that theme, is a key focus for Biza both in our Product Manager solution and our Holder as a Service Solution.

Whilst just under 16 months might seem like a long time to comply with the product reference data deadline, it is a critical first step to make sure you have a plan in place for your data holder solution and your product reference data solution is paramount. The complexities involved should not be underestimated. Our new PM tool for NBLs will provide a pathway for organisations to get their product reference data ready on time and cost-effectively ahead of the CDR compliance deadline. Alongside this work Biza can help your organisations with the larger project of planning and delivering to your data holder obligations. Depending on your loan book size your deadline is November 2026 or May 2027. Work with us on a bespoke plan for your organisation that takes into account your obligations, timing and  complexities to ensure you are prepared and in control of your CDR journey.

The first step is to meet the product reference data deadline in July 2026. To help you achieve this deadline the key features of Biza’s Product Manager include:

  • Self-service: A simple self-service interface means you won’t have to spend weeks in complex spreadsheets to keep your product reference data up-to-date. Its speedy deployment also means faster time to value.
  • Manage multiple brands: Support for administering multiple brands from the same web-based administration console
  • Streamline bulk rate updates: No need for manual one-by-one edits. You can now use a single page to update interest/deposit rates (and customer-calculated/supplied comparison rates) for an entire product type.
  • Schedule product updates: Pre-schedule new products or edits to existing products to allow changes ahead of a go-live date.
  • Fee Tables: Access a library of tables for fees, features, and eligibility criteria that you configure once and can be attached to products, rather than duplicating data across each product.
  • Audit trail: Keep track of product data changes with an audit trail in the database (and UI) to see what changes were made, by which users, and when.

Product Manager is a module of Biza’s turnkey Holder-as-a-Service (HaaS) solution that can be purchased separately or as part of the HaaS solution, reach out to discuss your options.
